It's easy to get distracted and think these are the first two options. After all, isn't finding a curvy dating partner and making big money stuffed down our throats from childhood? If we step back and think about what's going on, we'll see that it's not. Once we put aside all the noise and see what really makes us fulfilled, most people will say that their goal in life is to live happily and contribute to others.
What does this mean in the larger sense? Well, if we don't believe that the main purpose of our life is to find the right person, it means we have chosen a different choice. For example, when we go out, we talk to people who look interesting, interesting and open. We don't just talk to people who look "promising." This means that if we have a long week, instead of forcing ourselves out and hating every moment we are there, we should stay at home and enjoy whatever helps us recover. We make something delicious, we take a shower, we watch our favorite shows on Netflix. Whatever we choose to do, we certainly don't punish ourselves with mental nagging, "You should get out! What if your future curvy dating partner is out tonight? You'll miss her." Or, if we don't think our goal in life is to make a lot of money, it means we choose the job that nourishes us and makes us happy, rather than the one that makes us make a lot of money and destroys our soul.
When we remind ourselves of the bigger picture, the real purpose of our lives - that we don't get caught up in a cycle of punishment, guilt and shame - is just happiness. Think about your own personal goals and then relate your thoughts and actions to them. You will find that you will make different choices and be happier as a result.
This is not to say that having a BBW dating partner or making money doesn't add to the joy of life; It simply means that they are not the main focus. That changed everything. So don't be surprised when you meet that special someone or work on your dream job.
